Nursing Home
Ministry
Sunday church
services are important for those who cannot get out to attend church. JCD4U
Church is honored to deliver church service at nursing homes in metro
Atlanta for residents, many of whom are nearing eternity. Services take
place every Sunday. Being among these older Christians is a joy. Service
typically includes hymn singing, devotional reading, and a sermon with
Bible read-alongs. We close with salvation
invitation, individual prayer, and room visits for some residents who are
bed-ridden. In addition JCD4U provides Bibles, devotional books, scripture
handouts, reading glasses for the residents on individual basis as
requested. We also provide gifts for residents and some staff for
Christmas. Other activities include visiting residents in the hospital,
speaking to families by phone, counseling families upon death of a
resident, and attending or presiding at funerals. Some residents are
longtime Christians, others have come to Christ during or after service.
Residents receive fellowship, comfort, and hope. We also pray with staff
members when requested. Pictured Above: Pastor Terence Wilson
