Welcome To Fitness4Praise
This is a fun and intense aerobic dance-fitness program for
women. It utilizes the same dance principles of today’s most popular
dance-fitness programs — with one big difference — this program is based
on praise of Jesus Christ. During the
lively one-hour session, the instructor leads students in Latin and
modern aerobic dance-fitness while giving encouragement based on the
Bible. The program uses upbeat Gospel, Christian Contemporary, and Latin
Praise
selections that honor Jesus and get your heart pumping for a great
workout. Fitness4Praise is just as physically intense and
enjoyable as secular aerobic dance-fitness programs and meets or exceeds
the benefits of those programs. Fitness4Praise can burn
up to 700 calories per hour.
Aerobics with what matters most:
Every day
millions of women participate in group dance-fitness programs for health well
being, and just to have fun. But most classes offered — even in Christian
exercise programs — don’t present their exercise program as a form of praise. That’s what
inspired Fitness4Praise. The program is just what the name states. The
primary purpose is praise to Jesus; the secondary purpose is getting/staying healthy. |
Should Christians Exercise?
The Bible is clear that we are to take good
care of our bodies (1 Cor. 6:19-20).
However, the Bible
also warns against vanity (1 Sam. 16:7; Proverbs 31:30; 1 Peter 3:3-4). Our goal in
exercise should not be to improve the quality of our bodies so that other people
will notice and admire us. Rather, the goal of exercising should be to improve
our physical health so we will possess more energy to accomplish spiritual goals. (source:gotquestions.org) |
Why proclaim Jesus
during exercise? Fitness4Praise
acknowledges that we are forever in the presence of God. The Bible tells
us to “pray without ceasing” (1Thessalonians 5:17), therefore
everything we do should be an act of praise. The Bible also
instructs, “And whatever you do,
whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving
thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Coloss. 3:17). So it is
fitting that we honor the Lord Jesus while getting fit. |
